Metabolic Health & Weight Optimization
Losing weight is more than dropping pounds on the scale.
Struggling with weight is rarely just about willpower. At Wellvita Health, we look deeper—into metabolism, hormones, inflammation, and lifestyle—to uncover what’s really holding you back.
Our approach goes beyond generic diets or quick fixes. We offer medically-guided, personalized support using advanced lab testing, prescription tools (when appropriate), and targeted lifestyle strategies to help you lose fat, preserve muscle, and improve energy and confidence.
Whether you’re navigating weight gain, metabolic resistance, or just feel like your body isn’t responding the way it used to, we’ll help you create a sustainable path forward—with real results and ongoing support.
Your First Appointment: Getting Started Right
Your journey begins with a comprehensive first visit designed to uncover the full picture of your health. We start by drawing fasting labs in the morning at our clinic to assess key metabolic, hormonal, and nutritional markers. During your appointment, we take the time to explore your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and personal goals. This isn't a rushed visit—we listen closely and work with you to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.
Based on your lab results, we make individualized recommendations for targeted support—addressing underlying deficiencies, inflammation, insulin resistance, or hormonal imbalances that may be contributing to weight gain or low energy. This data-driven, personalized approach ensures your plan is both effective and sustainable.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our approach is rooted in functional medicine, which means we don’t just focus on calories or willpower—we look at metabolism, hormones, inflammation, gut health, and more. We personalize each plan based on lab work, your health history, and what’s realistic for your life.
-
No one-size-fits-all diet here. We help you find a sustainable way of eating that works for your body, supports blood sugar balance, and helps you preserve lean muscle while losing fat.
-
When appropriate, we may recommend prescription support as one part of a comprehensive plan.
-
In some cases, yes. If your labs are recent (typically within the last 3 months) and include the markers we need, we’re happy to review them as part of your initial assessment. However, we often require specific labs that many providers don’t routinely order—especially when evaluating metabolic health, insulin resistance, hormones, and inflammation. If needed, we can easily draw labs right here in our clinic to ensure we have everything we need to personalize your care.
-
Most patients check in weekly or biweekly, depending on their plan and needs. These visits help with accountability, tracking progress, and adjusting your care as needed.
-
Yes! We offer telehealth options for clients across Minnesota and North Dakota. Initial labs can be drawn locally, and all coaching and support can be done virtually if needed.
-
We don’t accept insurance—and that’s intentional. Insurance often limits our ability to practice the kind of personalized, root-cause medicine our patients deserve. At Wellvita Health, we’re able to spend more time with you, use advanced testing, and make treatment decisions based on what’s best for your health—not what’s reimbursable. We do accept all major forms of payment, including HSA and FSA cards. In some cases, we can also prescribe medications that may be covered by your insurance through a local pharmacy.
-
We use the InBody 580, a medical-grade body composition scanner, at your initial visit and throughout your program to track fat loss, muscle preservation, water balance, and metabolic trends. This allows us to go far beyond the number on the scale—so we can measure real progress, adjust your plan as needed, and make sure you're losing fat, not muscle.
-
We offer different plan options depending on your goals, health needs, and how much support you’re looking for. Most patients choose our monthly membership option, which includes ongoing guidance, accountability, and personalized adjustments. Pricing is best discussed during a free discovery call or your initial consultation so we can recommend the option that fits you best and walk you through what to expect.
